Catholic Education Commission

CEC Members

Membership of the Catholic Education Commission comprises ex-officio members and up to twelve community members appointed by Archbishop Mark Coleridge.

The ex-officio members are Mr Daryl Smeaton (Chairperson), Mrs Moira Najdecki (Director of the Catholic Education Office of the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn) who is the Executive Secretary, and Mr Mark Hogan (Assistant Director of the Catholic Education Office).

Community members are individuals who are selected for their capacities and interest in education. They are drawn from the Archdiocese to reflect the interests of parents, priests, religious and teachers from the NSW and ACT areas of the Archdiocese. Commissioners are appointed for a term of four years and are eligible for reappointment for a second term.
