School Age Care Services (SACS) are provided at many of our schools. Centres offer Before, After and/or Vacation care programs on the school site. Specific information about each Centre is available by contacting the school. Applications for enrolment at SACS Centres are obtainable through the school or by contacting the Centre directly.
The Catholic Education Office, in consultation with Schools has developed Operating Procedures for all SACS Centres. These procedures align with CEO Policies and Procedures. Centres are expected to use these documents as well as the Policy and Procedures of the school when developing Centre based procedures. The implementation of these documents in daily practice is validated externally through the Outside School Hours Care Quality Assurance process.
Some SACS Centres are managed through the school with the recommendation for appointment of all staff made by the School Principal and management of the Centre being the responsibility of the School Board. The management of other Centres is outsourced to local organisations involved in childcare .
